Malcolm Bartholomaeus, Senior Commodities Analyst
Malcolm is a grain, wool, grape and wine producer from South Australia. He has been analyzing and reporting on the grain and wool markets to growers in Australia since 1991, specifically focusing on the market impact on growers. Previously he held lecturing tutoring and research positions at the University of New England (NSW), Lincoln College (New Zealand) and Roseworthy Agricultural College (SA). Malcolm holds a Diploma of Agriculture, Master of Economics and a Master of Business Administration.

Rory O'Sullivan - Commodity Analyst
Rory is a commodity analyst for Profarmer Australia, and one of the contributors to the weekly Profarmer Grain newsletter. Being raised in the Victorian Mallee he has been immersed in agriculture all his life. He has worked in domestic and international trading houses across a diverse spectrum of roles including: ~ trading, logistical, storage/handling, shipping (bulk and container) and trade finance.
Patrick O'Shannassy - NZX General Manager
Pat has spent more than 20 years in agri-business and commodity markets in Australia, USA and Canada. He has a diverse skill base, including time on the farm, "hands-on" trading experience in live and emotive commodity markets, relationship management, business strategy & and development, product management and policy roles. Pat has traded agricultural commodities for financial institutions in New York, headed the US offices of a global trading house for several years and founded a risk management services business working with producers, consumers and other participants in agricultural commodity markets. As such he is highly cognoscente of how effective markets work and the needs of parties involved.He is responsible for NZX’s Australian agri-businesses including the CLEAR grain exchange, Australian participants in NZX dairy derivative markets and the NZX Grain Intelligence Unit involving which involves leading agricultural publications including Australian Crop Forecasters.
Ron Storey - Manager Grain Information Unit
Ron has over 30 years’ experience in international grain markets. He managed Australia’s export wheat program for more than a decade during an 18-year career with the Australian Wheat Board, and is well known to the domestic market and many of Australia’s offshore customers. In 2000, Ron established his own agribusiness consultancy and then developed Australian Crop Forecasters to become Australia’s leading independent grains information service. Focusing on supply and demand analysis, ACF now services many of Australia’s grain processors and trading houses, plus several offshore clients. It is also a publisher of a weekly grain and hay newsletter for Australia’s dairy industry. Ron brings a blend of a practical farming background, along with a professional career in global grain and commodity markets and strong consulting experience and relationships.
